Here's what you can expect from me:

  • There are limits to what I legally and ethically practice, so if you are uncertain about what to expect, please do ask in advance.

Scheduling
  • When you call or e-mail me to book a massage therapy session I will get back to you as quickly as possible with available openings.

  • I can usually make an appointment with you within two weeks from the time you contact me, and often much sooner if you'd like a daytime appointment on a weekday. I can schedule recurring appointments well in advance.


  • Above all else, expect a really good massage: You will receive a competent and professional session each and every time you come for an appointment, addressing your specific needs for that session.  

 

  • You will be treated with respect and dignity.

 

  • I will listen to and be fully present with you throughout your session.  This is your session, and I will do my best to understand and meet your needs.

 

  • If you are a new client, I will ask you to complete a short health history form. We will go over that form together, and you can tell me exactly what you are looking to achieve with your massage. {e.g. light or deep pressure, areas of concern} I will show you how to get on the table and answer any questions. Then, I will leave the room for a few minutes so you can undress to your comfort level. I will knock before I come back in, then we will start the massage.

 

  • The Day of The Appointment and Your Session

    Plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows us time to check-in and cover any questions. It also ensures you time to get comfortable on the massage table and me to make any last-minute preparations. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, I may be finishing with another client.

 

  • Your comfort and safety are paramount. I will check in with you prior to each session, even if we have met many times.

    Please plan to turn off your telephone during the session. I will turn mine off also.

 

  • I want you to make choices about the session so that you are most comfortable. The amount of clothing you wish to wear is up to you and based on your comfort level. I will strive to make the temperature comfortable and ask that you tell me if you are too hot or too cold. I can play music you like or even play something that you bring. I provide water and have a restroom for your convenience.

 

  •  You will be draped at all times during the session. Only the area of your body being worked on will be exposed.

 

  • At any time during the massage you may ask me to go lighter, or deeper. Please feel free to communicate any discomfort. I want your massage to be 100% satisfactory.

 

  • I will keep accurate records and review charts before each session.

 

  • I will stay current with information and techniques.

 

  • Your privacy and confidentiality will be respected and maintained at all times.

 

  • My equipment and supplies are clean and safe.

 

  • I will return phone calls within 24 hours unless I am out of town.

 

  • Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash or checks.

 

  • I do not provide direct billing for insurance. I will provide a receipt that can be turned into your insurance provider for reimbursement.
